                                     True bond ch 4


        Mario held up then stone as it glowed after a bit, him and Luigi ended up in a room in Bowser's castle. The room was filled with bowser stautes, and benchs, and chests. at the end of the room in a glass case on a table was the final ancient star shard.
"Well that was easy Mario." Luigi said. The bros walked up to the glass case and carefully removed it. Mario grabbed the shard and put it in the blues case with the other shards.
"Come on Luigi........lets go." Mario whispered. The brothers exited the room and ran down the hallway.
         After about 20 or 30 minutes they stopped to rest a bit and kept an eye out for gaurds.
"Sheesh..........how big is this place Mario?" Luigi asked as he leaned against the wall.
"I'm not sure bro.....and I've been here about a million times." Mario replied.
Luigi sighed as he sat down catching his breathe. Suddenly the bros heard foot steps coming their way. Worried that it was the guards, Mario took Luigi's hand and ran into on of the rooms they were next to. Mario shut the door and listend to the guards passing by.
"Sheesh what do you think the boss does when he's not kidnapping the Princess?" One asked
"From what Jeff told me, he sits in his room admiring a shrine of Peach." The other replied.
Mario and Luigi couldn't help but giggle to themselves, but then, neither could the guards.
"Dang," the first one said "Lord Bowser has issues."
"Yeah, and when he's not doing that, he's either planning another hiest, speding time with his kids, paying child-support to his ex-wife Claudia, or something."
As soon as the bros knew the guards were far away, Mario and Luigi started laughing over what they just heard.
"Wow, haha, We should have guest Bowser had a Peach shrine." Luigi laughed.
"Yeah...and it's no wonder he sent his goons to rob all those banks." Mario replied, "But enough with the laughing Weegie..let's get out of here."

    Mario grabbed the door knob and went to open it, only to find it wouldn't budge. Thinking he didn't turn it the right way, he turned it the other way and tried to push it open. Luigi tried too, thinking Mario was doing it wrong, but no matter which way they turned the knob or how many times they pushed or pulled on the door, it wouldn't open.
"Oh no Mario we're trapped!" He cried.
"Calm down Luigi we'll find away out of this pla-"
Mario was  suddenly thrown back against the wall by a sudden force.
"Mario!" Luigi cried as he rush up to his brother but was pulled back when a hand grabbed him but his overhaul straps. he turned to see a shadowy figure but before he could react, a wet clothe was pressed over his mouth. Luigi struggled to get free, but the figure wrapped his other arm around his arm and torso and grabbed his wrist. Mario tried to get up to help his brother, but the force held him back against the wall so all he could to was watch helplessly as his brother struggled, cry, and try to get himself free. A minute later Luigi passed out in his attacker's arms.
"YOU BASTARD! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY LITTLE BROTHER!" Mario screamed.
The person said nothing as he walked up to Maro with Luigi slugged over his shoulder. Mario just glaired at him for a moment and tried to attack him. The figured just laughed at his attempts to free himself of the force and then pressed the same clothe he used on Luigi over Mario's mouth.  
"He's trying to chloroform me." Mario said in his mind. He shook his head back and forth trying to get the hand off but the person grasp his hand tightly over the plumber's mouth. Mario struggled to keep himslef awake but the smell of the rag kept making him drowsy.
"Now, now.........don't make it to hard for yourself." The figure said darkly. Mario could of sworn he heard that voice before but his head was too foggy to think right now. "Shhhhh shush now dear boy.............it'll all be over soon" Mario continued to struggle, as he felt the force that was holding him back lift. He tried to attack but starting to feel very weak. He couldn't stay awake anymore as he passed out. the last thing he felt was someone picking him up.
